ALL ABOUT EMILY

Emily Gladys Larsen We wanted to name her Madeline, but when we went to a park there were a handful of Maddie’s and the fact everyone kept saying “Maddie Gladdie” are you serious? We dropped it fast. So we started looking for a new name and Emily seemed to pop up wherever we looked. And when I delivered her on July 12,2005 hurricane Emily had just hit the cost of Texas… and we decided Emily it will be. Gladys is after Jay’s grandma Gladys Butler Larsen. I was reading her history and they named her Gladys because “they were glad to have her”. She was a very smart and strong woman too.

Favorite Activities: running, swinging, playing with Jacquie

Favorite Toys: Her kitty and very large dog named Boy

Favorite book: Fancy Nancy and anything else she can get her hands on

Item of clothing: nightgown and slippers

What makes her happy: it’s hard to get her happy. Probably her boy (she lays on him like a pillow) and a blanket sucking her fingers

What makes her sad: The girl is moody… just about anything depending on the day.

Funny words or phrases: When she gets angry she will stomp her foot and yell “NO THANKYOU”. At least she is polite…?
