A Small Update

Jacquie in her Ta Kwon Do class with Master A.J

Everyone is back in school.  Jacquie is enjoying Mrs. Douglass' 2nd grade class and is doing really well.  I think last years struggles were all the 'new' things she had to do (and I wasn't impressed with her teacher AT ALL!).  She has made some new friends, started Tae Kwon Do, reading so much better and tells me everyday that she will not whine (doing better in the whining dept).  She likes to play outside and play for hours.  She found if you get sidewalk chalk wet it makes for some nice makeup.  She is definitely a girl.  Just last night she came in and said she wanted to "break up" with Jake.  I have to admit I was a little floored that she even knew this phrase and what it meant.  I thought she liked Jake, we have pictures she drew with Jac & Jake kissing.  Jay was so excited and relieved that they had a game plan made in no time flat.  When ever she asks "when can I get married" we always respond "30.  When you are FINISHED with college."  (Let's hope 12 years of reminding her will pay off :)

Emily's 5th Birthday Party with her cousins
(Jac was on vacation in St. George)

Emily excited for her new sleeping bag

Emily started preschool this year and is attending Mrs. Licia's class.  She turned 5 in July, but we wanted her to be the oldest in her class.  Yesterday when I picked her up from school, I noticed that she is the same height with the rest of them.  Her teacher said she is doing really well (fingers crossed) and she goes every Monday & Wednesday so excited.  My baby is growing up.  She comes home so excited to talk about her day and show us the crafts she makes and the new letters she has learned.  Emily loves playing with her best friends, most of which are her cousins but she does have a few in the neighborhood.
Last night there was so much homework then there was Ta Kwon Do so we did take out.  After dinner Jac took us into the living room to sing (she wanted to do family night and she ALWAYS conducts) and then we played 2 rounds of hide-and-go-seek in the dark... I love that game, but I absolutely HATE the dark...go figure.  After we brushed teeth, read a chapter out of Narnia and rocked our girls to sleep.  I LOVE being a mom!!!  And it's these kinds of days/nights that just make your heart tingle with love.
Today I decided I'm going to surprise them and take them to ride the pony's at Gardner Village... I need to go get some more fabric for my table runner

Jac and my Carson sound like twinners.
Last year was really hard for him, and reading is his biggest down fall.
SO, how much would I have to pay you to move out here?!?? I have at least 26 dollars in the bank.
COME ON! We could have so much fun.
