This weekend we had a wonderful time in Delta Utah for the celebration and farewell of Grandma & Grandpa Larsen. They have received a call to Denmark and they will be serving for a total of 23 months. Granny & Papa will be leaving on Monday October 6 to the MTC for about a week or two and then off to Denmark. We are so EXCITED for them and their calling to serve their Heavenly Father.
As for the farewell... it was so much fun to get together with family and visit and catch up with everyone. We had SOOOO much food!!! Saturday Jeffery and Joshua played their guitars for a bit and did some singing and of course Papa John and his brothers. Christy made a fun slide show for the open house and that evening some of us stayed up until wee hours of the night playing our favorite game of chicken feet. Jake asked me the next day what was wrong with us (Josh, Christy, and my brother Kendall). I told him it was late and that is how we play... I guess. Sunday's farewell was really enjoyable. Jim was able to fly out and so the 6 boys were able to sing together. Of course they did a most fabulous job. I love listening to the family sing... We had LOTS of enjoyable conversations with family, and friends.
During all of this it made me realize just how fun it is to get together... And I was thinking that there should be more family holiday's (besides just Thanksgiving and Christmas) for get togethers.

Everything turned out pretty good don't you think? We stressed way too much....
I am feeling really good! I thought the surgery was going to be alot harder than it was. But I am healing and recovering quickly. I still DO NOT recommend back surgery to any one unless they NEED it. ha-ha We do need to get together and have a little playdate. Life has been super busy and crazy since my surgery, but thanksfully things are starting to slow down. I will talk to Farrah and we will for sure have to plan something.
We had our wedding photographer take our pictures. She is in Salt Lake and her name is Christy Cunningham! We LOVE her.
